After saving the life of the President in Washington D.C., a pair of U.S Secret Service agents are whisked away to a covert location in South Dakota that houses supernatural objects that the Regents, an Authority above and outside any government, have collected over the centuries. Their new assignment: retrieve lost objects called "Artifacts", seemingly harmless items that can possess immense power, and investigate reports of new ones.

H.G. Wells is working as a forensic scientist for the police in Wisconsin. While there, a person who was suspected of committing a crime but wasn't charged because of lack of evidence, comes running into the police station saying he did the crime he's accused of. His lawyer says he was coerced into confessing. H.G. while examining him sees something that makes her think that an artifact is involved with what happened to him. So she calls Myka who along with Pete go and are surprised to see that she's not the person she was; that she's now living with a man and his daughter. And when an earthquake hits the Warehouse, Artie, Claudia, Jenks and Abigail try to find out what's causing it.
