03E12 - Meat

Daniel and Kate are called by another agent to help in a case involving the murder of a whole family. The agent suspects an animals rights activist group because the family's business is meat packing. Daniel doesn't think the murder has anything to do with the group but the agent tells Daniel all he wants him to do is talk to the only survivor, the daughter who was in the bathroom when it happened. Kate goes undercover to infiltrate the group. Daniel talks to the daughter who says her husband woke her up and told her that someone is in the house and told her to go to the bathroom and lock it. That's when she heard her husband stabbed. Daniel goes to see her brother who doesn't live with them who says that his parents were planning to sell the business and give what they get to charity, making Daniel wonder was anyone unhappy with that plan. Kate eventually arrests the group and when she talks to the leader and the leader claims they didn't kill the family. And says while she was at the house someone else came and went into the house and while she can't give a positive description, she gives enough info that Daniel knows who it was.
